The Week in Reviews 05-21-2008
Lee’s book of the week is a no brainer this week:
Echo #3
Published by Abstract Studios
Written and Illustrated by Terry Moore
Moore writes characters that are believable and Julie’s flaws only make her more so. He also returns us to Park Ranger Dillon, who has a past as well. There is also a revelation which will step up the search to retrieve the Beta suit from Julie. Life is not going to get any easier and what already feels like a frantic pace is sure to only get more harried as we go.

Unfortunately, I got busy reading other things last week and there weren’t too many other highlights… But I did get a chance to spotlight this book from July:
Pistolfist #1
Published by Bluewater Productions
Written by J.S. Earls and David A Flanary, Jr
Art by Andres Guilnaldo
The historical setting of the book gives it a unusual voice. The mix between fiction and history blurs lines and it becomes hard to tell which is which, but a page in the back of the book is devoted to clearing up some of those mysteries. This is a nice touch as it allows the book room to breathe, but shows that the authors are aware of what they are doing and have done their research.
